The Doña Ana County Fire and Rescue Services Department is a combination fire department, where volunteer and career firefighters work together to provide fire protection, emergency medical services and specialized rescue operations across the county. They respond to medical emergencies, fires, automobile accidents, and other critical incidents to ensure the safety of our communities. All districts maintain at least an Emergency Medical Technician – Basic level of service, with most recognized at the Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate level. The department also operates a Hazardous Materials Response Team equipped with specialized testing, sampling, and decontamination equipment.
